ÁINE PHILLIPS

Áine Phillips makes live art and video in Ireland and internationally. She is involved in artist-led projects and curates live art events in Ireland.  She is Head of Sculpture at the Burren College of Art. Her work aims to link autobiographic themes, actions and images with wider social and political realities. Áine’s art work commonly uses costume in a sculptural and performative way. She has created costumes as memorials, as sculptures, as metaphors and as elaborate props for performance.
