Anne Juren

Anne Juren is a French choreographer, dancer, teacher, and Feldenkrais practitioner based in Vienna. After her diploma of dance at the Conservatoire National Superior of Dance in Lyon, she completed her apprenticeship as a contemporary dancer at the Trisha Brown Company in New York. In her work, she tries to expand the contextual boundaries of the term choreography in engaging the body in different states of physical, sensorial, kinaesthesic and mental experiences, questioning the boundaries between private and public spheres. In 2003, she co-founded together with the visual artist Roland Rauschmeier the association Wiener Tanz-und Kunstbewegung in Vienna. Her pieces have been extensively presented in national and international theatres, and dance festivals. She is currently doing a PhD in choreography at UNIARTS Stockholm University of the Arts.
