Brina Klampfer Merčnik

Brina Klampfer Merčnik graduated with a Master's degree in Theatre Directing and a Master's degree in Comparative Literature. She works as a director, dramaturg and producer in the theatre. Her master's performance Paloma (her mentor was Tomislav Janežič) was selected as the Noble Comedy (žlahtna komedija) by the jury at the 33rd Comedy Days in Celje, and at the same time received two main acting awards. She is the founder and president of the KUD Krik Association and is committed to the education and performance of (young) Slovenian playwrights. She is interested in working with different communities in the theatre (Nobody Whistles Anymore; Look, Slender Student) and in creating original projects.
