Kristina Aleksova

Kristina Aleksova (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, author, and performer. Born in Ljubljana, she began her dance education at the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory. After completing her studies, she joined the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana in 2002. In 2013, Kristina joined Tanzkompanie Graz for a season and returned to the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana in 2014, where she continued to perform and choreograph. During this time, she created works such as Children from the Edge of Reality and How Deep is Your (W)Hole. In 2017, Kristina embarked on a freelance career as a choreographer, dancer, and performer. She began developing her own projects within Via Negativa Lab. That resulted in creating two pieces The Heart and The Kiss. She has collaborated extensively with Via Negativa Theatre. In 2023, she contributed to the Ventilator series by Zavod Sploh and began mentoring at the Performance Art Research Ljubljana (PARL).
