Renata Salecl

A PhD in sociology, Renata Salecl is a professor and senior researcher at the Institute of Criminology, Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana. She is a visiting professor at the London School of Economics, the Benjamin B. Cardozo School of Law in New York and at the Birkbeck College University in London. Her scientific interpretation of contemporary society stirs interest in particular due to the astute analysis of often invisible and imperceptible phenomena and processes in post-industrial forms of capitalism that skilfully present corporate and political power as everyday choices, wishes and ambitions of people.
