Sanna Lenken

Sanna Lenken is a Swedish director and screenwriter. She studied film directing at the National Film School in Stockholm. After graduating, she directed the youth series Dubbelliv (2010) for the Swedish national television. Her short film Eating Lunch (Äta lunch, 2013) premiered in the competition section of the international film festival in Göteborg. Her full-length debut My Skinny Sister (Min lilla syster, 2015) premiered at the Berlinale and won the Crystal Bear Award for Best Youth Film in the youth section Generation, to be followed by several awards across the globe. After its world premiere at the Berlinale, her second feature film Comedy Queen (2021) also received the Crystal Bear Award for Best Film. In addition to feature films, Lenken recently directed two TV series and the medium-length film Night Child (Nattbarn, 2017).
