Sanna Lenken

Sanna Lenken (1978) is a Swedish director and screen writer. She studied film directing at the National Film School in Stockholm. She worked in the theatre and during her study made several short films. Two of her films (Valborg and Travemünde Trelleborg) screened at the Stockholm Film Festival and won several prizes at various other international festivals. After graduating she directed the youth TV series Dubbelliv which was nominated for best drama at the Nordic Children’s Festival and Chicago International Children's Film Festival. Her latest short film Äta lunch (Eating Lunch) premiered in January 2013 in the competition of the Gothenburg Film Festival, was screened in Berlin and Tribeca and was nominated for a Guldbagge Award. Her debut feature film My Skinny Sister, which had its international premiere at this year's Berlinale, has since won several jury and audience awards at film festivals around the globe.
