Caliza, Muzikačaka
Muzikačaka is a one-woman-looper band, a project of Sara Korošec who combines current music trends – alternative pop and electronica – with the traditional environment of Haloze (Slovenia) and with it, her embeddedness in rurality and both the pros and cons of living on the margin. Live, Muzikačaka performs her stories about creativity and relationships with a looper: layers of piano, vocals, electronics, field recordings and poetry. She was selected for the 2015 Radio Študent Club Marathon. So far, she has released four solo albums. The latest one is called Povezava in življenje na daljavo (Connection and Life at a Distance, 2020).

The artist from Madrid decided to go solo in 2015 after more than five years of playing in other bands as a drummer. She recently released her third album, El descenso (2021), which reflects on survival and the desire to dominate in a world torn apart by climate change. Caliza self-published the album under her own label No Retorno. So far, she has shared the stage with Crash Course in Science, Molly Nilsson, and Cate Le Bon, and has performed in venues across Spain, France, and Portugal.
