Déjà Donné

dance performance

Lenka Flory and Simone Sandroni’s joint choreography
Deja Donne was first performed last February in the Ghent Vooruit theatre.

 "( ... ) I want to create a show without
offering something obvious, presenting contradictory scenes, where nothing is real,
but where no one is acting. Everything should be credible. Animating five
interprets in one hour of relations, their experience on stage being impossible
offstage."  (L.Flory)

" ... In Lenka Flory's world of relationships
there is also a lot of indifference and malice between the two sexes, even male
rudeness to women. After all, Flory experienced the school of Wim Vandekeybus. (…)
She wins our heart with the authenticity
of the story and the manifest presence of human beings behind formally refined
choreographic gestures." (Nina Vangeli)
