In a huge, old-fashioned luxury hotel, three people – two men and a woman – meet and lose themselves, become intertwined, and entangled. Intertwined and entangled are also the time and space, the past and the future, dreams and fantasies, the only tangible thing being an uncertain and romantic nature of memory. A definitive and cult milestone of the French New Wave that has lost none of its modernist charm and mysterious ambiguity. The original script was written by Alain Robbe-Grillet.
