show appearances. Snow White is an emancipated woman who takes des tiny into her own hands, steps
out of the fairytale frame of w aiting, and plays an active role in self-liberation, enticing enthusiasm
through a f airyt ale, animated with movement, song and dance. Ann Liv Young is no longer a naive sleeping
beauty, but an erotic heroine. Together with her friends, she perfor ms dances and sings male roles
too, and can handle absolutely anything. By giving Snow White the possibility of self-determination and
sexuality, Ann Liv Young exposes both the patriarchal and clerical matrices on which this f airyt ale is
grounded. This undeniably emancipated Show White, who becomes involved in a variety of adventures,
is almost scandalous. Introducing a number of elements of body ar t, the per formance is distinguished
by fresh aesthetics and imposing determination.
