Barbara Korun

Barbara Korun, the author of the concept and project coordinator, was born in Ljubljana, where she graduated in the Slovene language and comparative literature. She lives and teaches in Ljubljana, publishes poems, and occasionally writes about literature. Barbara Korun’s 1999 poetry collection The Edge of Grace (Mladinska Knjiga) received an award for best debut anthology. In 2003 she published Notes from under the Table, a collection of poetical prose, as well as a chapbook of translations of her poetry by Kelly Allan entitled Chasms (PM books). Her latest poetry collection Fissures was published in Ljubljana in 2004. Barbara Korun’s works have been published in a number of anthologies and translated into 13 languages.
