Freedom Is Always Freedom for the One Who Thinks Differently

The
performance Freedom Is Always Freedom for
the One Who Thinks Differently
inspired by Rosa Luxemburg's quote and
composed of texts by historical and contemporary figures, i.e. women who dared
to speak up, is a response to today's political and general state of mind. Some
of the women paid for their words with their lives, others entered history –
but all of them actively participated in a world that not only wasn't
favourable to women but generally despised and ignored them. Their words and
actions were small steps in the direction of making the world a better place.
The mosaic of their thoughts is a reminder and a warning that human rights –
and in particular women's rights – cannot be taken for granted but were fought
for with pain and blood and that this fight is anything from being over yet –
from our ancestors for us and our successors. (Neda R. Bric)
