Chantal Akerman is an artist impossible
to ascribe in a simplistic critical framework.
Through the vision of a few of her works, the
first, the emblematic and the last movie as
well as her installation work, we will discuss
her figure, her work both in cinema and visual
arts, her relation to the use and representation
of time, to everyday life and the complex
relation of the subject to its surroundings.
