Charlotte Jarvis
Charlotte Jarvis (GB) is an artist working at the intersection of art and science. Charlotte’s practice often utilizes living cells and DNA: she has grown her own tumor, recorded music onto DNA and seen her heart beat outside her body. Charlotte has exhibited her work in eleven international solo shows and over one hundred group exhibitions featuring large-scale multimedia installations and performances. She has been resident artist at a number of universities and scientific institutions, including the European Bioinformatics Institute and the Hubrecht Institute. Her work has won the Bioart and Design Award in the Netherlands and been peer-review published in Leonardo Journal in the USA. She is currently a lecturer at Goldsmiths University London.
