The Lesson

The Lesson takes places during a high school lesson. We see pupils engaged in a conversation about a particular historical movement, partisan schooling, that emerged during the Second World War in Slovenia as an opposition to the occupation. The theme was proposed by the artist who asks the students to read a letter, written by a partisan teacher, while focusing her camera’s eye on the silent figures, the pupils who remain quiet.
