The film discusses violence and the lifelong consequences child abuse has on the victim. Vida is now a grown-up working as a school psychologist. When she suspects that Zarja, a 10-year-old pupil at her school, is a victim of abuse, she reports it to protect the girl. Although Vida is a professional with vast experience, the case does not leave her unaffected, as she struggles to cope with flashbacks of her own painful past.
