Gaya de Medeiros

Gaya de Medeiros (1990) is a choreographer and producer form Brazil currently based in Lisbon. She studied Animation Film and worked for nine years as a dancer and co-creator at a Brazilian Dance Company. In Portugal, she collaborated with several artists. In 2021 she created her first piece, “Atlas da Boca”, in December 2022, she premiered another “Baque” and in April 2023 “Ppai para Jantar”. Gaya founded BRABA Plataforma which aims to support, enable and finance initiatives led by or focused on the trans community. Her artist research ponders upon dance, words and affection.
