Poziv k prijavi na septembrsko delavnico Katarine Jazbec

The Slovenian visual artist and filmmaker Katarina Jazbec, based in Rotterdam, invites you to a two-part workshop Sharing Dreams with a Multispecies World as part of the City of Women Festival 2024 in Ljubljana.

The workshop is inspired by the ritual of sharing dreams/forebodings/nightmares. During the workshop, we will explore probable and improbable connections between the social role of nighttime dreaming and our interspecies relationships. Participants will tune in with simple deep listening exercises by Pauline Oliveros, read short excerpts from authors such as Robin Wall Kimmerer, Donna Haraway, James Bridle, and Mojca Kumerdej, and over the course of one month, collectively focus on documenting and exploring a dream journal.

The first session will be held online (via Zoom) on Wednesday, September 18, at 6 PM, and the second one will take place in person on October 5 at 11 AM at the Škuc Gallery. You can register at production@cityofwomen.org.
