ACT Women

ACT Women is an art-activist collective from Belgrade, focusing on performances and interventions in public space. Due to its belief in art as a universal means of communication, the collective performs at public squares, markets, Roma settlements, and other public sites, where it tries to raise awareness about social and gender inequality, marginalization of women, and violence against women. The seven performers in ACT Women rely on their bodies and voices to address these important political issues, and treat art as a powerful emancipatory form of expression that can make our lives better.
