Chiara Bersani

Chiara Bersani is an Italian performer and author active in the fields of performing arts, theatre and contemporary dance. As interpreter, director and choreographer, she moves through different languages and visions. Her research as an author and interpreter is grounded in the concept of the “political body”, and the creation of practices aimed at training its presence and action. The manifest work of this research is Gentle Unicorn (2018), a dance performance included in the Aerowaves platform. In 2019, Gentle Unicorn received the Total Theatre Award for dance performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Chiara Bersani also participates in the Advancing Performing Arts Project – Feminist Futures.
