May Event Cycle of City of Women
At the end of May, The Association for the Promotion of Women in Culture – City of Women, will connect artistic productions created on the basis of community art reflections and practices, which aim to change the traditional relationship between the artwork, the artist, and the audience. While creating, the artists encountered many questions arising from such collaboration: Who leads the process? What is decentralized management, what is community art, and what is co-creation? How are decisions made in collective processes, and who takes responsibility if something goes wrong? Who is paid for their work and why? Who makes decisions, and who represents the work when the community practice is completed? Who has the opportunity to travel if the work or performance is touring, and many other topical questions that simultaneously decelerate and enrich community processes.
