Claire Pentecost

Claire Pentecost is an artist, writer, and professor of photography engaged in a variety of media that she uses to interrogate the imaginative and institutional structures that organize the divisions of knowledge. She is working on the open content wiki VisibleFood.org, archiving information on the hidden costs of the global corporate food system. In the past two years she (together with Brian Holmes and the members of New York’s 16 Beaver) has been active in creating a series of autonomous, collective learning seminars entitled Continental Drift (16beavergroup.org/drift)
