DJ Shanti Priya

DJ Shanti Priya has been introducing Bollywood music to her audience since 2009, making people dance on floors from Ljubljana to Tokyo. Her varied sets include evergreen film hits as well as contemporary bhangra beats created by producers from the punjabi diaspora in the West. She has organised regular events of Indian music in Jalla Jalla, Gala Hala, and Ambasada Rog, but performed also in numerous events outside the walls of the mentioned Ljubljana autonomous spaces. In her regular life, the person hidden behind the artistic name of Shanti Priya is an activist and volunteer who has been fighting for the rights of refugees and migrants seeking to find a place under the Slovenian sun.
