Elly Van Eeghem
Elly Van Eeghem is a multidisciplinary artist. She obtained a PhD in Visual Arts at the KASK School of Arts where she teaches. Her work consists of videos, photography, writing, actions and installations in public space, with a focus on the design and use of the urbanised landscape. She makes individual works as well as collective projects in collaboration with local residents, school children and fellow artists. She wrote (Dis)placed Interventions: Making Public Space in Urban Landscapes (2019) and co-authored Reading Urban Cracks: Practices of Artists and Community Workers (2012). Her work has been shown in museums and performing arts centres across Flanders.
