Gjino Šutić

Gjino Šutić is a multidisciplinary researcher and innovation developer in several fields of science (biotechnology, bioelectronics, and ecological engineering) and postmodern new media art (Bio Art, Digital art, and Hybrid Art). Despite his academic background in biotechnology, educational psychology and medicinal chemistry, he uses and promotes biohacking, the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) approach to biotechnology. In Zagreb, he founded the non-profit civilian Universal Research Institute for applied scientific research and development of related culture, where he does most of his work. As a guest lecturer he has taught at several universities and is strongly involved in promoting STEAM, innovative art and innovative applied science.
