Jovana Mihajlović Trbovc
Jovana Mihajlović Trbovc is a political scientist at the Institute of Cultural and Memory Studies at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU). In 2015, she was awarded the Jean Blondel PhD Prize for best dissertation from the field of politics, bestowed by the European Consortium for Political Research. She researches politics of the past and the public memory of wars, the impact of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia on post-Yugoslavian states, and the reproduction of historical narratives in school textbooks. She also dedicates her time to researching women in the Socialist period and gender equality in science, as well as the role of gender in research today. Jovana Mihajlović Trbovc is a member of the Commission for Equal Opportunities in Science in Slovenia and a gender equality consultant at the ZRC SAZU.
