MIWA MATREYEK

A graduate of CalArt’s Experimental Animation program (MFA, 2007), Miwa Matreyek is an animator, designer and multi-media artist working in Los Angeles. She creates animated short films as well as works that integrate animation and live performance/installation via projection. In addition to her solo performances, Miwa is also one third of the multimedia collaborative Cloud Eye Control and has performed at such venerable institutions as REDCAT, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and at the TED Global Conference in Oxford, UK. She has shown her work internationally at various film/animation festivals, theatre festivals, performance festivals, as well as art galleries/museums and tech conferences.
