Myriam Bahaffou
Myriam Bahaffou (she/her) is a PhD student and teacher of environmental humanities at University of Ottawa and Université Picardie Jules Verne (CURAPP). She focuses on the postmodern deconstruction of humanism through an intersectional lens, studying the way animality is unequally distributed among individuals, and how it is co-constitutive of race, gender, and capacity, proposing a new take on Critical Animal Studies. Her first book is called Des Paillettes sur le compost: Ecoféminismes au quotidien in October 2022 (Le Passager Clandestin) and she is currently writing her second one about the connections between desire, pleasure, and ecological activism.
