Snježana Premuš & Ignaz Schick
Snježana Premuš began her dance career in 1990 at the
Maribor Dance Centre. She later graduated from the London Contemporary Dance
School. From 1995 to 1998, she danced with London’s Yelp Dance Company. She has
also worked with the Ljubljana Dance Theatre, Elena Alonso in Berlin, and Iztok
Kovač. Before her collaborations with Ignaz Schick, she produced two other
collaborative pieces with musicians: from scratch #1 (1999) and from scratch #2
(2000).
Currently, Premuš and Schick have been awarded a residency in Amsterdam at one
of Europe’s leading sound-research centres, STEIM, where they will experiment
with newly developed software that converts movements through a video interface
into midi and audio signals.
