Urška Vohar

A choreographer, dancer, performer, lighting designer and dance educator, Urška Vohar graduated in Visual Art and Pedagogics from the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor, Slovenia, and from the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam, Holland, in 2006. She has created a number of artistic projects and cooperated with numerous local and foreign artists and producers. Two of her solo dance projects, I was born on a Sunday and Dust Republic, which received the most critical acclaim, were presented at various festivals. In 2015, she received the Ksenija Hribar Award for her pedagogic work in the collective of the Secondary Preschool Education School and Gymnasium Ljubljana (Srednja vzgojiteljska šola in gimnazija Ljubljana). She is a regular member of the group Feminalz and works as a co-author and performer in Techoburlesque Image Snatchers.
