Nina Cvar

Nina Cvar (she/her) is an assistant professor at University of Ljubljana. Since 2019, she has been working as an associate researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at University of Ljubljana, where she is involved in research projects, addressing policies on digitalisation and digital inclusion, mainly within EU. Since 2022, she works at the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts at University of Ljubljana too. Between 2008 and 2017 she was a professional film critic, contributing to all major Slovenian publications, including Radio Študent and received grants and an award (Nika Bohinc award) for her work in this domain. In 2021, she published a scientific monography Digital Image and Global Capitalism: Technology, Politics, Resistance as an upgrade of her PhD thesis for one of the central Slovenian humanities and social sciences publishers, Sophia.
