Michaela Schwentner

Michaela Schwentner was born in 1970 in Linz. She studied philosophy, history, theatre and media. She works in the field of visual art, club activities, organises exhibitions and concerts. Since 1995 she has been a member of Sparverein der Unzertrennlichen theatre group. She is the author of numerous short films and videos and has collaborated with the most eminent names in the Austrian electronic music scene. In her films she researches in an extremely pure way and with minimal means (in terms of soundtrack, colours, compositions, motifs…) the idea of the abstract in the world of moving images, and thus offers new starting points for reflections on dispositions in film, video and computer.
