Petra Feriancova

Born in 1977, Petra Feriancova is in the first instance a mother, allegedly a single mother. After seven years in Italy, she completed her post-graduate study of visual arts in London, made several trips to the Middle East, and returned to Bratislava where she – we might say by a strange coincidence – opened the Bastart Gallery. Located beneath her apartment, its owner – a wealthy citizen – is willing to cover not only the running costs that arise from having a gallery on his premises, but also part of the costs of producing the works themselves. Petra Feriancova has staged several exhibitions in such cities as Bratislava, Prague, Rome and London. Dunja Kukovec
