Maja Bajević

Maja Bajevic is one of the most significant contemporary artists of Eastern European background. Her work has been shown in numerous solo exhibitions, such as Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, 2011; Kunsthaus Glarus, Switzerland, 2010; the Fondazione Bevilaqua la Masa in Venice, 2008; the National Gallery of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2006; the Moderna Museet, Stockholm, 2005; P.S.1, New York, 2004, and in many group shows, including among others Starter, the Vehbi Koç Foundation Contemporary Art Collection, Istanbul, Turkey, 2010; Project Europa, Harn Museum, Gainesville, USA, 2009; Elles@centrepompidou, Centre Pompidou, Paris, France, 2009; and Documenta 12, Kassel, Germany, 2007.
