Marko Karlovčec

Marko Karlovčec is a musician whose work is most strongly influenced by the legacies of free jazz, black metal and the historical avant-garde. One time very – and the last few years, in light of the general lameness, not so much – active on concerts as solo saxophonist and with the Drašler/Karlovčec/Drašler trio, performing at clubs, festivals and independent venues in Slovenia and abroad. Lately mostly dedicated to his own avant-garde black metal project Vlaknasta, releasing a number of records. He is also a music journalist and occasional essay writer.
