Miha Zadnikar

Miha Zadnikar is a cultural and social activist, radio worker, lecturer, columnist, essayist, concert organiser, sociologist of music and alternative theoretician. He also worked as a journalist and editor (Telex, Mladina, Delo, Revija Glasbene mladine, Ekran). As a co-producer, lecturer and/or attendant of several workshops and performances, he has been taking part in the City of Women Festival activities from the very beginning; at that time, he led the Slovenian Cinematheque program “Kino-uho”. Since 1999, he is the mind behind the concert cycle Defonija, prepares the Radio Študent show dubbed “Idealna godba”, is a member of the programme committee of the Jazz Cerkno International Festival, a regular co-worker of the event “Zvončki in trobentice”, in which the Cankarjev dom presents young jazz. Zadnikar has been writing columns since 1986 – currently, for the Nova Gorica-based magazine Razpotja.
