PERFORMING GENDER
Performing Gender – Dance makes differences is a two-year European Cooperation Project between Italy, Slovenia, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom. It investigates gender and dance, and provides skills useful to develop new forms of narrative for LGBTIQ identities in Europe.
It inscribes itself in the City of Women Festival context and will combine a range of activities, such as practical and theoretical workshops, debates and meetings, encounters with specialists and other artists, as well as intensive dialogue with the local dramaturge.
We will be busy asking ourselves where does dance as a living art form meet gender as a lived performed expression of one’s self?
