The Body (Telo)
A story about friendship, illness and film creation.
The documentary feature film “The Body” follows the life of the director's friend Urška, a professional pianist and former model, who is diagnosed with encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) at the age of 28, and years later with another, more insidious and mysterious illness. The film is based on the director's archive shots taken in her youth, to which she later added newly created footage from Ljubljana and Lake Prespa in Northern Macedonia. “The Body” is an intimate story about friendship, facing illness and making a film through the lens of a friend's gaze.
The film will be followed by a discussion with director Petra Seliškar and Varja Močnik.
