Petja Grafenauer

Petja Grafenauer, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Department for Theory of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana. She is a specialist in local and regional art after the Second World War, primarily painting and contemporary art. Since 2012, she has also been researching the cross-sections of economy and art. She regularly publishes her findings in scientific, professional, and popular media. She has written and edited several books about visual art. In the past, she worked at the Academy of Arts, University of Nova Gorica; the Department of Photography, VIST Ljubljana; Radio Študent; Ganes Pratt Gallery; Likovne besede journal; MGML City Gallery Ljubljana; and Vodnik Homestead Šiška Gallery Ljubljana. She curated numerous exhibitions and events.
