Špela Čadež
Špela Čadež is animation director and co-founder of Finta Studio in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her films have received more than one hundred awards at festivals worldwide and have been screened in competition selections of festivals such as Sundance, Locarno, Clermont Ferrand and Annecy. A passionate advocate for the analogue, she has made a mark with films in puppet and cut-out animation techniques. In 2018, Špela Čadež was invited to become a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her animation films include Boles (2013), Nighthawk (2016) and Steakhouse (2021) – the latter received the 2022 Prešeren Fund Award.
