Alison Blunt

Since her classical violin training at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Alison Blunt’s fascination with sound, motion and space has led her into exploring the boundaries between art forms and genres and creating new music. She has performed in Europe, the Unites States, Australia and New Zealand with artists such as Vinny Golia, Evan Parker, Elisabeth Harnik, Tristan Honsinger, Gino Robair and Mark Sanders, with the ensembles Barrel, Barcode Quartet, Berlin Improvisers Orchestra, Ensemble Progresivo, HANAM Quintet, Lode, London Improvisers Orchestra, Pierette Ensemble, and as a soloist. She was a member of the collective ASITIS and the companies Experiments in Spontaneous Performance and Apocryphal Theatre. She is a recipient of Sound and Music funding support, and has toured England with the collaborative work Rose Is a Rose Is a Rose Is a Rose.
