The Unforgettable illustration street exhibition is based on the newly released book Nepozabne: ženske, ki so premikale meje našega sveta (The Unforgettable: The Women Pushing the Boundaries of Our World), published by Mladinska knjiga. Intended for young people, the publication features stories of Slovenian women pioneers in their own fields who left an important mark, helped shape our community and the country, and enabled many generations to do things in life that used to be prohibited. Some of them are familiar, the majority is not. This book, however, finally gives them the well-deserved place in history that most of our history books, textbooks, curricula, debates, and places of remembrance still fail to include.
The publication was co-designed by ten artists who have made a valuable visual contribution to the texts. They created a representative gallery of images that speak to a wide audience – including on the streets of Ljubljana where the exhibition can be seen at TAM-TAM poster locations.
