Medea Production
Medea Production consists of several groups and individuals, choreographer and performer Magdalena Chowaniec, rapper Esra Özmen, slam poet Yasmo, and writer Tunay Önder, among others. From September 2019 to the beginning of the Covid pandemic, they – and other authors –were doing interpretations of the Greek myth of Medea in collaboration with many young women, including the students of the DiverCityLab drama school. Together, they wrote poems and stories, and created the performative citywalk Medea's Maze. Later, the creative process was continued by the director Corinne Eckenstein and five actresses, co-authors of Medea’s Daughters. The actresses Lilie Lin, Cecilia Kuka, Ines Miro, Ivana Nikolic and Elif Bilici based their drama on the writings of pupils from Tunay Önder's workshops.
