The Hungarian-Serbian poet, actress and performer Katalin Ladik is a pioneer of noise and performance art. The “SoundBodyPoetry” of her radical body art performance UFO Party (1970) shook the artistic scene because of its hyper-affirmation of otherness in terms of ethnic and gender roles.
In their first collaboration, Jule Flierl and Irena Z. Tomažin pay tribute to Ladik: their hommage blurs the lines between poetry, acting and experimental voice work, while continuing the two artists' own research into the physical experience of language and the articulation of different voice layers.
The performance can also be seen on 11 October at 20.00 at Španski borci.
